How to get Ensha to invade Elden Ring

Ensha is an NPC that really stands out from those you’ll find in Roundtable Hold. They stand still in the next room. If you talk to them, you will not get an answer. You get a gesture but they never actually speak. You learn so little about them and then suddenly, out of the blue, you’re ambushed by them and a boss fight ensues in Roundtable Hold. If you’re as confused by this as we are, you might want to know how to pull off this fight. In this guide you will learn how to get Ensha to invade Elden Ring.

In order to get Ensha to invade, you need to get your hands on a specific item; the secret locket of Haligtree (right). This is one of the hidden items that you can find in the Lands Between, along with its other half, which cannot be accessed until much later in the game. Due to the design of Elden Ring, if you immediately run to get the medallion piece, you could be ambushed by Ensha extremely quickly.

To get the medallion piece, you need to go to the location on the map above. This area is the village of the Albinaurists in Liurnia. To reach this area you must either go through or around Stormveil Castle, go down to the lake in Liurnia and then ride along the western cliff face until you reach the hill leading to the village. Once you get to the village, you need to find the pot that glows slightly. It’s up the hill but not over the bridge. Hit the pot with your gun and it will turn out to be Albus, a member of the village. Talk to him after he’s revealed and he’ll give you the locket piece.

With this piece of the medallion in your inventory, the next time you go to the Roundtable Hold you will be ambushed by Ensha. After this point, every time you enter Roundtable Hold, you will be attacked until you defeat them. After defeating Ensha, if you go to where they were standing, you can retrieve their armor.
