How to get Dokugumon in Digimon Survive

Dokugumon is the first boss monster you will encounter in the Digimon Survive storyline. A powerful enemy with poisonous attacks and a huge health pool that will definitely make an intimidating presence on the battlefield for new players. It’s all the more exciting when you get the chance to recruit one of them for your roster a little later in the game. As a defensive Digimon with the aforementioned amount of HP, Dokugumon is able to take a lot of hits before going down. Be careful though, as it is vulnerable to both Fire and Lightning damage, reducing its ability to tank in some fights.

How to make friends with Dokugumon

To add Dokugumon to your roster, you’ll need to face one in battle (although that won’t work in the boss fight) and negotiate with them. The earliest you can do this is in part 3 in the school’s free fight area, which you can access during the free action section.

There’s a good chance that most of the Digimon you’ve negotiated with so far have presented you with a series of questions that you need to answer. Dokugumon is similar, but doesn’t seem very keen on speaking. With this giant spider, the questions are more like behaviors or actions. However, similar to other hostile Digimon, this guy doesn’t seem so angry as much as rather suspicious of you (or any other human).

Although the prompts change every time you try to negotiate with Dokugumon, the best answers are always the same. Once you’ve got enough correct answers, you’ll have the option to either ask for items or befriend Dokugumon, with the latter only being successful a percentage of the time. Adding Dokugumon to your team will require you to take a risk, but you can always come back and try again later.
