How to find and use a cowcatcher in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

Surprisingly, there weren’t too many vehicle mods in Fortnite’s latest chapter, but Chapter 3 Season 2 premiered a car part that’s terribly powerful. Known as the Cow Catcher Vehicle Mod, this new item is a handy tool when in combat or deep in tree-covered forests. Regardless, the item primarily appears in only two specific areas.

The easiest way to get a Cow Catcher is by destroying the red tool boxes, which are usually found in gas stations and garages. That being said, players can bet there are plenty of cowcatchers at Chonker’s Speedway. After collection, there are two ways to use the item. The most popular use is to throw it on a car to attach the part. Not only does this make it easier to ram vehicles through those pesky tall trees and brick buildings, but it can also do more damage when hitting enemies.

As shown in the image above, we found it incredibly easy to pass through building walls to hit enemies inside – so this method is highly recommended.

Additionally, players have the option to throw the Cow Catcher on the ground and use it as a blockade. This tactic is most likely to come in handy when you’re being fired on from the front or when you’re in the sights of snipers. Despite its size, those who use it can cover their entire body behind the item. It’s even more impressive when you consider that it can take magazines’ worth of damage before it’s destroyed.
