Roaming the open fields of Arkesia, Lost Ark players may encounter vast, empty, monster-less arenas, each with a grayed-out icon in the center. Visitors visiting these regions for the first time can ignore these distractions to track their regional quests and character progression, and rightly so.
These arenas are home to the incredibly powerful Field Bosses, a series of late-game boss rush events that rotate daily, offering highly-skilled players an extra challenge for additional loot. Many of these field bosses cannot even take damage from the player’s attacks until their gear level reaches a certain threshold.
Many of these individual field bosses vary in terms of difficulty and hideout location. Signatus, a giant mech field boss located in the Scraplands area of Arthetine, serves as a fitting introduction for players to the field boss activity.
Tracking Signaturus: time and location
As players of the fourth major continent clash, many achieve Arthetine relatively early in their main story progression. At this point in their progression, these players likely have an overall item level of less than 380, the minimum they are allowed to participate in the fight against Signatus. Anyone attempting to fight the mech below this item level will deal 0 damage to their attacks, and any attacks received are instantly fatal, so players should return to Signatus later.
When that “later” is can vary wildly, as Signatus’ spawn is entirely dependent on Lost Ark’s global world events calendar. Like most field bosses, Signatus only spawns every two or three days, on the hour from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. These dates and times are all recorded in the “Field Bosses” section of Procyon’s Compass.

Fighting Signatus: Keep some space
Signatus has a mountainous health bar with 63,855,000 points. If not defeated within 15 minutes, it will go berserk, instantly killing all players within range and resetting its health bar to full. In order to properly defeat the mech, players must coordinate in large groups and band together against it in order to defeat the boss within this limited time.
Large and lumbering, Signatus is easily overrun by players trying to survive. Its slow rotation speed means fighters within melee range can easily wrap themselves around the back of the ‘Mech and confidently repel attacks from outside its frontal attack range.
To counter this lack of agility, Signatus’ attack patterns feature a variety of rotational attacks and removal denial mechanics, forcing players to play into its cold, metallic hands. Equipped with missiles to disrupt lighter, non-confrontational classes like most gunners or mages and an electric force field to pull players inward, fighting Signatus favors high health bars and brawn.
