The controls for the Slip-Deke are pretty simple. To do a slip deke, the puck carrier must be directly beside or near the left or right board. Once you’ve got the puck by the boards, all you have to do is press either LB for Xbox or L1 for PlayStation.
Slip dekes may seem simple and boring, but these moves can serve a purpose. This type of move can trick a player who controls either a backcheck forward or a defender and may not be expecting this type of play. In addition, it can also be used as a tool to try to break into the offensive zone by trying to push through against a well-positioned defender.
