How to destroy the barricade on the Medical Deck in Dead Space Remake

A barricade is blocking your path on the Medical Deck in Dead Space Remake. Although the barricade isn’t perfectly structured, it requires more strength to attach than other things you’ve encountered. You need to craft an explosive device. Isaac needs a handful of items to craft these explosives to destroy the barricade. Here’s what you need to know about how to destroy the barricade on the medical deck in Dead Space remake.

Where can I find the hydrazine tank?

The first of the two items Isaac will need is a hydrazine tank. You’ll find these on the same floor as the barricade, so you won’t have to go too far to find them. Go through the west side of the map and head to the imaging diagnostics room.

When you reach the main room, a large container will block your way to the other side of the room. You must use your Kinesis module to manually slide it to the left and clear your way before proceeding.

When you reach the other side, there’s a large container on the desk that you can move with your Kinesis Module. Grab it, face the circuit breaker and slide the power device in to activate that part of the sickroom. You can now use it to enter a back room in the first room you were in before and the elevator to go to the second floor.

Take the elevator to the second floor and there will be a platform in the middle of the room. Use your Kinesis module to slide it to the right so you can bypass the gap.

When you reach the other side, turn right and head down the hallway to a zero-gravity area. You should not stay in this place for too long as you have limited oxygen. After you reach the next door and it closes behind you, the oxygen meter should disappear. The next area will have a huge gap between you and the next room, and you’ll need to activate Isaac’s RIG flies.

When you finally reach the other side, you’ll find the hydrazine canister on a desk. You can proceed to the next step to find the following item to destroy the barricade.

Where can I find the shock pad?

The path to the Shock Pad deviates slightly from your route. On the way to the Zero Gravity area, a strong vibration shakes the ship and the path is blocked when you arrive. Instead of going down this path, you now have to use your Zero Gravity movement to float up, fly to the second floor, and reach a higher location. This trail has an oxygen tank that you can use to top up your oxygen levels. Keep going down the path and you’ll need to go down another elevator shaft using your Zero Gravity move.

This path will take you through the coolant lines and take you back to where you originally started outside of the medical area. The route is different, but it’s not too jarring. If you return to the starting position in front of the barricade, the next path will take you down into the research wing.

There is a broken door halfway up the ramp, which you need to use to slow down your Stats Module and get to the next floor. You enter the main lab on the medical deck when you reach the bottom of the floor. Unfortunately, this room becomes quarantined shortly after entering, and you expect to encounter several Necromorphs as they swarm your position. You have to deal with them on the top floor and then go to the other side of the room and go down to the lower floor.

Once all of the Necromorphs have been dispatched, you can enter the main lab locker room and follow this path to the Biological Prosthetics Center. It’s a straight shot into this room, and you’ll find a new, baby-like enemy in this room. You must enter this area, check in and go to the second floor.

When you reach the second floor go through the plumbing shower room and in the next area there is a circuit breaker that you can use. You want to power the door, and the Shock Pads are on top of the body on the medical table.

Now that you have both items, the final step is to return to the main medical wing area and blow up the barricade.
