How to defeat Clawroline in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

The Wndaria Remnants zone boss is Clawroline, a lithe beast who loves the limelight. This boss has the ability to disappear, high-rope jump and has a penchant for sharp objects – but she’s standing in the way of saving the Waddle Dees, so she must go. How to beat Clawroline in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

First off, the side missions for Clawroline are as follows:

  • Clean up the stage
  • Meet Clawroline with Ranger high up
  • Defeat without hovering
  • Erase within 1:30
  • Sure, without taking any damage

We should note that clearing Clawroline with Ranger under 1:30 is very difficult, so you may have to do this mission a few times. Phase 1 starts out pretty easy – Clawroline will hit you twice before charging up a slam attack. Her recovery from the charged slash is pretty hard, so this is a good opportunity to do some damage. Clawroline regularly dims the lights on stage and charges up even longer to perform a rush attack. Simply running to the side allows you to dodge, and due to this attack’s long recovery animation, this is also a good time to deal damage. She will alternate these attacks until she reaches around 40% HP, then phase 2 will begin.

In Stage 2, Clawroline jumps up into the rafters where she throws knives at you. She throws a knife wave before jumping around and throwing three more knife waves. After the third wave, it will crash on Kirby – this attack cannot be escaped. You’ll need to time your jump to avoid the cuts (or just float away from Clawroline). Her claws will get stuck in the ground, giving you several seconds of uninterrupted time to deal damage. Clawroline’s final trick is to briefly disappear before appearing next to Kirby and striking – she will alternate this and her up-high action until defeated.
