How to defeat Arukenimon in Digimon Survive

Arukenimon is the main antagonist of Part 3 in Digimon Survive. It wants to capture and sacrifice every character you’ve encountered so far, and almost does a great job at it. To continue the story you have to face the toughest fight in the game so far. This guide explains how to defeat Arukenimon so that you can advance to Part 4.

How to defeat Arukenimon?

Arukenimon is a difficult boss to defeat because you start it on the backfoot. If you choose to believe the Unknown Woman in the previous scene, you’ll start off with just Kaito and whatever Digimon you’ve caught so far to fight with. However, if you choose Kaito, you also have Agumon, which is a big help. Regardless of how you start the fight, we recommend attacking the spider-like Digimon, the Dokugumon, first.

The Dokugumon are the Digimon that harass your friends in the connected cable car. Arukenimon is on the cliff to the right. While you can go straight to the main boss, the fight will go in your favor if you choose to defeat the Dokugumon first. Fight them all and you’ll free everyone from the cable car, leaving you with a few more Digimon to use for the rest of the fight.

If you notice your Digimon suffering from any status effects, use an item to quickly relieve them of the effect. This fight is incredibly tough and you don’t need to make it even more challenging by adding a handicap to your Digimon. Keep your Digimon together and fight back as a unit through the web in the trees and then onto land. You’ll have to defeat more Dokugumon in the process, but eventually you’ll be ready to fight Arukenimon.

The best way to take down Arukenimon is to team up with your evolved Digimon and hit it from every possible angle. If you can only get hit from the front, try because the enemy could move behind you and finish you off in the next turn. This fight is tense and you will always feel like you are behind. However, if you analyze Arukenimon and pay attention to his weaknesses, you will make this last part of the fight much easier.

What are Arukenmion’s stats?

Arukenimon is almost completely resistant to Psychic damage, so don’t try to hit it with it. It’s better to move to the side or behind and land a normal attack. It’s also somewhat resistant to earth attacks, but they can still deal a decent amount of damage. What you want to hit it with is electric damage, so Betamon is a really good Digimon to pull out in this fight. Pay attention to these stats and the amount of damage the enemy can deal, and you’ll master it within five turns with two or three evolved Digimon.
