Each puzzle in FAR: Changing Tides grants you a new upgrade for your ship. You’ll need most of them to get through the world faster and collect fuel more efficiently. However, there is one that simply gives you a new space to relax. This guide explains how to solve the houseboat puzzle so you have a home on your boat.

Step 1: Climb the tower

The first part of this puzzle requires you to climb up the two parts of the crane. You’ll first need to use the levers you come across to raise the pieces up, then you can climb the ladders on them to the top of the large structure nearby.

Step 2: Fix the elevator

Once you make it into the tower, you’ll see an elevator that’s broken. You need to pick up the repair box nearby and hold it over the lever to repair it. Then use the lever to go down into the structure and look at some pictures depicting the old world.

Step 3: Plug in the houseboat

When you get to the bottom you can exit the tower and press the big blue button to activate the houseboat crane. Then you must use each lever to align the houseboat with your ship. You will know the lever is in the right place because the light next to it will illuminate. As soon as both lights are lit, the houseboat lowers.

Step 4: Open the door

The final part of this puzzle is to open the large door blocking your exit. Swim underwater and through the gap in the metal below. Keep swimming and you will find a blue button.
