A Farmer’s Ardor is the side quest you unlock by completing Goblins in the Garden. It’s far more interesting than the required side quest and showcases a truly wonderland-esque love story. This guide explains how to complete the side quest so you can bask in her glory.
Step 1: Help Flora
Flora is at the back of the farm you visit for the Goblins in the Garden side quest. Once you kill all the goblins you will see her crying and you can talk to her to start the quest. She’s sad because Alma won’t return her love and because you just massacred all the goblins. When you bring her flowers to Alma, you are told that only a certain kind of goblin will ever make her love Flora. This sets Flora on a quest to find the perfect leprechaun.
Step 2: Find the loincloths
Your first task is to find the stinkiest loincloths in Queen’s Gate. There are three you need to track down before Grimble appears. He is the stinkiest of all goblins and will run away if you attack him. After he’s dead, bring his loincloth back to Flora to help her summon an imp of her own.
Step 3: Get the Polka Dot Dye
The next task is to pick up some polka dot dye. There are a few to the south of the farm, and this part of the quest unlocks them for you to explore and pick up any collectibles behind them. Once you find the dye and return it to Flora, it will transform the goblin into a beautiful, magical creature. After that, only poetry remains to be acquired.
Step 4: Get a Tongue for Flora
The last part of this quest is to get a tongue from the graveyard from hundreds of bards. These enemies are the most difficult to defeat in this quest, but you won’t be overwhelmed if you manage them properly. Once you’ve got the tongue, return to Flora for a surprise ending to a long quest line.
