How to clone wild Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It’s safe to say that the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Nintendo hasn’t gone smoothly. Despite positive feedback for many of the game’s new features, storyline, and open-world style, the game’s poor performance and constant glitches have significantly dampened the hype surrounding Generation IX. However, some glitches have been a blessing in disguise, allowing players to bypass the normal restrictions and take actions that would otherwise not be possible. One of these glitches is the cloning of Shiny Pokémon into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The cloning method revolves around encountering a wild Shiny Pokemon and then restarting the game to trigger the error. Needless to say, this doesn’t work with Pokemon that are already in your party.
Once you’ve spotted and caught/defeated a wild Shiny Pokémon in the wild, head to a nearby town that doesn’t show a loading screen when you enter. After the city name appears, simply save the game and launch it again. Now if you return to where you previously encountered the Shiny, there should be another one in the same spot. Remember that if you go to a place where there is a loading screen, the sequence will fail and the error will not work.
As this is a bug, there is a high possibility that it will be fixed in one of the future updates. However, given the number of performance issues and bugs the game is currently exhibiting, the developers will likely focus on priority issues first.
