Shifting gears is an essential part of driving, and the Gran Turismo 7 racing sim is the same. You can switch between an automatic and a manual system for your car. This is where you’ll find the option in GT7’s complicated menus.
Before you start a race, you will see the “Options” to the right of the green “Start” button. Press the cross key on Options and then select “Assistance Settings”. The first option in this menu shows “Transmission”. Press the cross button on it, and you’ll have the option to switch to manual or stay on automatic. After selecting your preferred broadcast, press the circle button to return to the race menu and select “Start”.
We’d recommend sticking with the standard automatic, as it shifts gears for you. It makes the experience much easier for casual Gran Turismo 7 fans, but if you want to take full control of your car, Manual is certainly an option for you.
In the “Assistance settings” menu you can also change several factors of the vehicle, e.g. B. Traction control and ABS. You can even select Auto-Drive to brake and steer for you. You can also remove the on-screen Driving Line Assistance if you don’t want in-game hints on when to brake and where to accelerate. Polyphony Digital seems to want to give you the best possible experience no matter how you drive.
