How to beat Shiver in Splatoon 3 – boss fight guide

How to defeat Shiver in Splatoon 3

Just like Frye and Octobot King L3.Gs, Shiver will have three phases. Each stage becomes more difficult than the previous one, adding a new move to the Deep Cut member’s arsenal.

Shiver’s first phase

In this first phase, Master Mega swims around the arena and throws projectiles at you. You cannot distract them. So your only option is to dodge them. Your attack opportunities arise when Master Mega attacks you. This happens either when it swims under the stage and comes back up, or when it charges straight at you with its mouth open. When Master Mega appears or charges you, you must press R and throw a bomb or your Smallfry in his mouth. Throwing a bomb in his mouth will stun Master Mega and give you some time to colorize him. Shiver’s third phase

Now when Master Mega performs his Tornado Attack, he fires three beams instead of just one. Master Mega will be faster too, and if you bump it onto the platform, it’ll crawl back to the ink quicker, giving you less time to attack it.
