How to adjust your stats in Elden Ring – Rebirth with Rennala Queen of the Full Moon

After spending some time in The Lands Between beating bosses and perfecting your playstyle in Elden Ring, you may find that you made a mistake with some of your stats early on. This is normal as most people don’t know what stats to invest in when they first start playing. Fortunately, there is a way to correct past mistakes. This guide explains how to adjust your stats in Elden Ring so that you can have a build for you by the end of the game.

So respect your stats

In order to respec your character in Elden Ring, you must first find and defeat Rennalla Queen of the Full Moon. It is located at Raya Lucaria Academy in Lucaria of the Lakes. This is when you get to the game’s third major area, Stormveil Castle, if you don’t spend too much time going back and exploring.

Rennalla becomes a passive NPC once you defeat her. She will offer you something that “rebirth‘ when you interact with her, and this is the key to changing your stats. In exchange for larval tears, you can change your stats and respec your character over and over again. If you want to respec your character for a specific boss and then change it back for a future boss, you can do so. All you need is a good supply of Larval Tears.

When should you respect your character?

The best time to respec your character in Elden Ring is when you want to try a new build. If you’ve played as a tank with a colossal weapon that ignores pain and experienced everything you see first-hand, you might want to try a different approach in certain areas or against certain bosses. Magic builds can be incredibly powerful, but you can’t just swap out the gear your character uses as a tank to turn them into a magic user. They need a complete overhaul of their stats. Ditto if you’ve been playing as a sneaky assassin and want to become a tank build or one that specializes in ranged weapons.

Weapons are the second best reason to respec your character. As you explore The Lands Between you will find incredible weapons such as the Blade of Calling. You can’t try every weapon and piece of gear you find unless you’re willing to respec your character a few times. This often results in you discovering a build you prefer over the one you’re using just because you wanted to try a new weapon.

The last best reason to respec your character is a boss you just can’t beat. If your build keeps hitting the boss to no avail, try new gear and weapons to take him down. Some bosses are easier to defeat as a magic user, while tanky soldiers can tear others apart with ease. Don’t be afraid to change the character type you use. This is a feature of the game designed to let you explore and you should use it. If it was an exploit, it wouldn’t be in the game.
