How to activate Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring

The Grand Lift of Dectus is a location you will find in the Elden Ring. You’ll find it heading north after defeating Godrick the Grafted and exploring the second area you unlock. However, you will not be able to use the Grand Lift of Dectus. Instead, this location has been locked. You will need an item to use it. In this guide, we detail how to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus in the Elden Ring and the items you need to find.

How to activate Grand Lift of Dectus

You need to find two items to activate Grand Lift of Dectus. They are the Dectus Left and Right Medals. With these Medals you will be able to unlock the portal and access the next area. This is the location of two Medals.

Left Medal Dectus

You can find the Dectus Left Medallion at the top of Fort Haight in the Mistwood region. After defeating the location’s elite knight, turn to the right side of that arena, and there will be a room with a ladder in it. Go up the ladder, and the medal will be in a chest at the top.

Dectus .’s right medallion

The Dectus Right Medallion is a much more complex and difficult item to obtain. You’ll need to find it in Fort Faroth, inside the Dragonbarrow, which contains a number of dragon enemies that you’ll need to run through to find or fight. There, in the Fortress, you’ll need to rush inside the building, go left and dash into the room using a ladder. There you will find the Dectus Right Medallion.

Once you have both, you need to go back to the Grand Lift of Dectus and provide it at the feet of the two statues. You can then use the elevator to access the next area.
