How to access MLB The Show 22 beta / technical test

MLB The Show 22 continues to expand the series to new platforms with a move to Nintendo Switch while also returning to Xbox like last year. With an increasing number of players, the server load and game stability will be questioned. That’s why before the game’s release you can participate in the technical testing beta and help relieve the stress on the servers in hopes of making the launch date much better. Here’s how to get in.

While MLB The Show games typically have closed technical testing, this year’s release was open to all players across all platforms. That means you don’t need to worry about signing up this time. If you have a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox, all you need to do is go to that console’s store and download the client.

As of this writing, you can’t download the technical/beta beta, but it should be available on Wednesday, February 16. While you can get it early, you won’t be able to play until next day, Thursday, February. 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and will end on February 23.

While you can try the game out early, don’t expect to get instant access to your favorite team. Usually the game will give you a pre-assembled group of players that do not reflect the current roster. This year’s test will also include our first chance to try out our new online co-op with players on other platforms. How to access MLB The Show 22 beta / technical test
