Arts are special abilities that will be used in every battle you will encounter. Each character has a set of arts that they will learn as they level up and progress through the story. How to charge the arts in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Arts are powers unique to each character and class. These abilities are varied and fall under numerous types. Arts that deal damage, heal allies, or debuff enemies have long cooldowns before they can be used again. These arts have different methods of accelerating their cooldown, and the kingdom each character class is from determines how they can charge their arts. These kingdoms are Keves and Agnus, and their respective classes must adhere to their respective methods to use the arts frequently during combat.

Your party consists of six core members. Noah, Lanz and Eunie come from Keves. Mio, Taion and Sena are from Agnus. Each of these two nations has a unique method of charging their arts.

Keves classes

The Kingdom of Keves has a method to charge up its class arts. Kevesi Art gauges fill up automatically over time. Barring certain buffs, these arts always take the same amount of time to return in combat.

Agnus classes

The Kingdom of Agnus can charge their class arts in two ways. Unlike Keves, her Arts class isn’t auto-replenished. Each auto attack your character performs fills his art bar a bit. Using attack cancels is a faster method of charging up arts with Agnus classes.

When your auto attack hits an enemy, immediately use an art to cancel the auto attack animation and activate the chosen art. If you’ve done it correctly, you’ll see a small flash of white appear over your character and the art gauge will fill up significantly faster than usual.

Understanding how to use each class’s recharge method is crucial to executing advanced combat mechanics. Use these abilities to get frequent art combos and master arts in challenging encounters.
