The man can be seen walking down the street when the car pulled into the garage at Guraga Terrace in Ellenbrook just after 10pm on Saturday.
He is heard screaming as he rushes after them, and 7NEWS reports that he then allegedly broke down the door to the recreation room, where he punched a grandmother and threatened a child.
“Inside the home, the man assaulted a 64-year-old woman and threatened a child,” Washington police said.
“The 64-year-old woman suffered minor injuries, including cuts and bruises.”
When the man allegedly grabbed a nearby child’s toy to use as a weapon, the male homeowner hit the man with a chair and asked him to leave, 7NEWS reports.
“The man was stopped by another man in the house before he was taken into custody by police,” WA Police said.
7NEWS reports the man also attempted to enter a ute parked on the street outside the residence, leaving the vehicle splattered with blood.
He was still screaming when officers pushed him to the ground outside and arrested him.
