NASCAR The 2022 season marked a whole new beginning for the sport with the introduction of next generation cars and the radical changes introduced to the sport. The race got a fresh start for the first time in decades as the Clash normally held in daytona was moved to the temporary track created inside the icon LA Historic Coliseumwhere Joey Logano became the first-ever winner in the next-gen car.
The 0.25 mile course offered an impressive race that also attracted a whole host of new fans to the NASCAR races. NASCAR recently announced that the 2022 edition of the clash will be held in LA, drawing both acclaim and criticism from the NASCAR community. Now a NASCAR Cup Series rookie todd Gillilandthe son of the former NASCAR racer and team owner David Gillandhas expressed excitement at the sport’s return to LA.

Todd Gilliland admitted he is enjoying the news as it is one of the most exciting in a long time. He revealed that upon learning the clash is returning to LA as he has not been able to race that season due to not making it onto the track. He continued that watching the last race with the fans gave him more appreciation for the race as he really loved the whole experience and the performance of rapper Ice Cube.
“Dude I had so much fun‘ said Todd Gilliland.
“Honestly I was more excited than I’ve been in a long time when I saw Clash coming back to LA it gave me even more appreciation for it because sitting in the stands and the place was just electric I felt like. With Ice Cube there. It was just such an experience, so I definitely loved it.” Todd Gilliland added.
The rookie season seen so far has been a challenge for Gilliland, who is part of a race king in California, given Gilliland’s long history with NASCAR. The two-time ARCA Mendes West Series champion has finished in the top 20 six times this season, while the rest of his finishes have been disappointments as he hasn’t been able to clear the top 20 barriers in any other race. The final two races of the season have been disappointing for the youngster as he failed to secure a top 20 result in his No.38 Front Raw Motorsport car, but he is hoping to finish his season mid-race. Season break as a source of inspiration.
