Hogwarts Legacy will not have microtransactions, Avalanche confirms

Microtransactions have become one of the scariest words a gamer can hear. Microtransactions have become increasingly common over the years and also very predatory. Many players often worry whether a game will contain microtransactions. Luckily for Harry Potter fans, that won’t be the case with Avalanche’s Hogwarts Legacy.
Community Manager Chandler Wood confirms on Twitter that there will be no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy. The Sony State of Play didn’t necessarily indicate there would be microtransactions. But the fact that there are so many materials that players will need many assumed worse, and the game will have microtransactions to “help” players collect things much faster.
Hogwarts Legacy is shaping up to be the Harry Potter game that fans have been clamoring for since the first book was released. In Hogwarts Legacy you play as a student in the prestigious Hogwarts Academy for Wizardly. The game immerses you in the world of Harry Potter by choosing your own house and collecting materials to discover new potions or spells. Your goal is to attend classes, meet new friends, and uncover plans with the professors that could upset the balance of the wizarding world.
The game is slated for a holiday 2022 release, making it possibly the best gift for the Harry Potter fan in your life.
