Hitchhiker’s death-defying stunt caught on video on the back of a moving Transperth train

An adventurous daredevil was caught on camera risking his life in a reckless stunt by clinging to the outside of a fast-moving train in Perth.

A passenger in a car pulling alongside the train captured the dramatic video but struggled to focus on the hitchhiker for more than a few seconds given the train’s breakneck speed.

The dangerous stunt was shared on the Bell Tower Times page over the weekend, and while the reasons for it remain unclear, several people have called it “so dangerous” and a “good way to die.”

“I knew a young man who did that, he’s wearing two prosthetic legs now – life choices,” one person said.

“No cure for stupidity,” said another.

Meanwhile, others joked that the hitchhiker was trying to save money on the train ride.

“Definitely better than $5 for a ticket,” said one person.

“Great savings here,” added another.
