Hit Australian comedy ‘Colin from Accounts’ sets US release date

Paramount+ has expanded its original content offering by acquiring exclusive rights to the Australian comedy series Colin from accounts. The show was originally picked up by the BBC in the UK last year and was a standout hit on Australian streaming service Binge. It has received wide recognition and deserves greater visibility. This August, Binge confirmed the series’ second season, and now, thanks to Paramount+, US viewers will have the opportunity to catch up on the first season when it hits the platform on November 9th.
After launch, the first two of the eight episodes of the first season will be available, with two new episodes following in the following weeks on Thursdays until November 30th. Colin from accounts revolves around Ashley (Harriet Dyer) and Gordon (Patrick Brammall), two “lonely” individuals with a lot of complexity who find an unlikely connection sparked by a random car accident and an injured dog. The series explores the lives of imperfect but humorous characters who make the courageous decision to embrace each other and reveal their authentic selves as they journey through life side by side.
The series debuted in Australia last year to critical and critical acclaim and was certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect 100 percent rating. Audiences praised the insightful humor conveyed in clever one-liners and rich references to Australian culture. The show recently received three prestigious TV Week Logie Awards in Australia in the top comedy categories for Most Outstanding Comedy Program, making it the first streaming series to receive this award.

Dyer and Brammall recently received the TV Week Logie Awards for Most Outstanding Actress and Actor respectively. In addition to the lovable couple, the main actors can also be seen in the series Emma Harvie as Megan, Helen Thomson as Lynelle, Genevieve Hegney as Chiara, Michael logo as a board, and Tai Hara as James.
