Part of the strategy of globalists like billionaire investor George Soros includes funding progressive Woke political campaigns; Judges, District Attorneys and even Attorneys General.
During her 2018 campaign for New York Attorney General, candidate Letitia James made headlines in anti-Trump publications and left-wing news outlets after making a series of statements showing hostility towards the NRA.
“The NRA claims to be a non-profit organization, but actually, really [is] a terrorist organization,” She said ebony Magazine in October 2018.
James also vowed, “target the NRAs” in one July 2018 edition through their campaign, promising “Examine the legitimacy of the NRA as a non-profit entity.”
“The NRA is an organ of deadly propaganda masquerading as a charity for the greater good‘ James said in the July publication.
After her election victory, the hopes of the left in the newly elected New York Attorney General Letitia James were high.
James sued in August 2020 to have the NRA dissolved, alleging financial wrongdoing by top gun rights organization officials, including Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. The NRA counterclaimand claimed James would retaliate against the group for their anti-gun control stance.
But on Wednesday, Manhattan Superior Court Justice Joel Cohen threw back calls for the NRA to be dissolvedand noted that there were ways to reform it — such as the potential removal of top executives.
“In short, the complaint does not allege the kind of public harm that is the legal linchpin for the imposition of the ‘corporate death penalty.’,’” reads Cohen’s decision. “Furthermore, the dissolution of the NRA could, at least indirectly, affect the freedom of speech and assembly of its millions of members.”

“The NRA is a prominent advocacy group representing the interests of millions of members who have remained loyal to it despite widespread allegations in this and other cases‘ Cohen wrote in his verdict. “The government-sponsored dissolution of such a body is not to be taken lightly or without imperative necessity.”
“In short, the complaint does not allege the kind of public harm that is the legal linchpin of imposing the “corporate death penalty.”,’” Cohen added.
“We welcome the Court’s acknowledgment that dissolution is neither appropriate nor justifiedsaid William A. Brewer III, a partner at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors and counsel for the NRA, in a press release sent to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“We look forward to continuing to defend the NRA – and to prove that it acts in the best interests of its members and the Second Amendment freedoms they believe in.”

“This is a resounding win for the NRA, its 5 million members and all who believe in this organization‘ said NRA President Charles Cotton. “The message is loud and clear: the NRA is strong and secure in its mission to protect constitutional liberties.”
On a Wednesday press releaseJames said she was “disappointed that the judge ruled against the resolution portion of the case‘ and that the Attorney General’s Office ‘legal options in relation to this judgment.”
In response, a respected George Washington University law school professor, Jonathan Turley, tweeted about NY AG’s failed attempt to boot the NRA.
It took two years, but NY AG Letitia James’ attempt to disband the NRA failed. As discussed in my previous column, the court was concerned about the impact on freedom of expression. James was hailed by Liberals for this effort…

“Today’s developments underscore the simple truth that since taking office in 2019, the Attorney General has circulated a fabricated narrative about the NRA to support an improper dissolution claim‘ said Brewer. “This is not just a victory for NRAs, but for all who believe in freedom of expression and association.”
