“He’s ready to go,” confirms Dana White of Jon Jones’ return, saying he’s waiting for the right opponent » FirstSportz

Jon Jones‘ Fans won’t have to wait long for his return to the Octagon from now on, at least according to the UFC President Dana White believe it. Jones, the former UFC light heavyweight champion with the most light heavyweight title defenses in UFC history, exited the division with his final title defense Dominic Reyes back in February 2020. Since then, the light heavyweight crown has passed into the hands of 3 UFC fighters in just two and a half years.
Jones left the 205lbs division to commit to a new division i.e. the heavyweight division Jones has been training for since 2020. Now Jones is waiting for the right opponent, a win against which will either see Jones as a legitimate contender for the next title fight or become the new heavyweight champion. Between all of these conversations over time, Jones faced many ups and downs in life outside of the octagon. That included being a UFC Hall of Famer for his fight Alexander Gustavsson back in 2013 and was convicted of domestic violence.
