Charles Leclerc has emerged as a beast for Ferrari this season. After Max Verstappen suffered from a drop in performance at the British GP, it was up to the two Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc to find out. Charles was definitely the faster of the two but just couldn’t get past his teammate. Eventually, as the threat from Lewis Hamilton increased, it was decided that Carlos Sainz should let him through.

It was Leclerc’s race to win after that, but after an unlucky safety Ferrari decided not to call him into the pits for a new set of tyres. That ultimately cost him the win and the other two podium places. He was vulnerable on his older set while everyone at the front had come in to switch to a new set of soft tires.

According to Jean Alesi, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari have a lot to take away from the British GP

It is difficult to fully agree with Jean Alesi on this point as very few F1 drivers are in a championship fight that they are well equipped to fight. Therefore, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari must be disappointed with the result.
