Hero MotoCorp appoints Niranjan Gupta as CEO

Pawan Munjal will remain executive chairman and full-time director of the board.

Hero MotoCorp has announced the appointment of Niranjan Gupta as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. He will take on his new duties on May 1, 2023.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Gupta was Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Head Strategy and M&A at Hero MotoCorp. He has played a pivotal role in establishing partnerships with Harley Davidson and Zero Motorcycles and has over 25 years of experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain and strategy across multiple sectors.

Gupta is also a board member of Ather Energy, HMC MM Auto Private Limited and HMCL Colombia. Before joining Hero MotoCorp he held positions at Vedanta Limited and Unilever.

In the meantime, Pawan Munjal will continue to serve as executive chairman and full-time director of the board.
