Shaheed’s spectacular feat may not be the only record to be broken in 2021; FCS’s seven one-season records could be dropped before the season ends.
Here are FCS one-season records on the road in November
Most blocked goals | Record: 4
Three players hold the record for most goals in a single season, with the most recent coming in 2016. Five years later, Southern Illinois full-back Anthony Knighton could be the next player to fill his name. on the list. So far, Knighton has had three blocked goals this season; He will have three regular games of the season left to put his name in the record books.
Perfect record for goals scored | Record: 15/15
Only one FCS starter has been perfect this season, Western Carolina’s Richard McCollum. McCollum is 10 to 10 goals this year and has a chance of breaking the record set by Jon Scifres of Missouri State in 2004.
McCollum needed five more successful tries out of five to hit the record in his remaining three games. Fortunately, McCollum has started two goals in three games so far; he will need to repeat that performance in at least two games.
Most yards per pass | Record: 10.31 (min. 250 att), 10.28 (min. 325 att)
In 1986, Northern Iowa’s Mike Smith averaged 10.31 yards per pass in 303 attempts. In 2013, Eastern Washington’s Vernon Adams averaged 10.28 yards per pass in 486 attempts. In 2021, another East Washington quarterback, Eric Barriere, has a chance to break both records.
Barriere averaged 10.37 yards each through 319 attempts. Barriere plays in the top attacking position at FCS and if he can keep his current pace he will easily break the record.

In 2008, the Yale defense allowed only 8.88 yards per finish. As the number of fouls has increased in recent years, this record has at times seemed like it could last forever. However, two Ivy League 2021 programs, Dartmouth and Princeton, have a chance to break this record.
Dartmouth currently allows 8.75 yards per finish while Princeton allows 8.95 yards per finish. If Dartmouth continues at its pace, the record will carry over to the new Ivy League program, but watch out for Princeton in the long run.
The team that lost the least revenue | Record: 6
In 2021, Montana State flipped the ball 3 times, while Columbia only crossed 4 times. If each program can keep possession of the ball for the rest of their games, they could break the record for the least number of penalties set by Wagner in 2012. During that record season, Wagner only fumbled with the fourth ball. times, hit only twice.

Most consecutive games tee off on the court | Record: 33
The final record in place in November may not be decided until the FCS Qualifiers. James Madison striker Ethan Ratke has broken many FCS kicks records, but he could add one more to his belt before he leaves school.
