Helicopter crashes on roof of house in Mentone, Melbourne

A small helicopter has crashed onto the roof of a house in south-east Melbourne and emergency services are at the scene to rescue the pilot.
The plane landed at the corner of Broome Ave and Tylden Ct in Mentone just after 1pm on Wednesday.
Aerial photos show the small plane embedded in the roof tiles after it hit the roof of the house.

There are several fire engines at the scene and the crews appear to be trying to stabilize the helicopter while rescuing the pilot trapped inside.
Police said the male pilot was the only person on board the helicopter and his condition was unknown.
No one was in the house at the time of the crash.
Broome Ave and Tylden Ct are closed.
