BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Heavy Seas Beer is releasing a new beer to raise funds for humanitarian efforts helping Ukraine, and they are using a recipe from a brewery based in the country to do so.
Pravda Brewery, located in Lviv, last week its recipes released so the company can use its facilities to aid the war effort against Russian forces.

Heavy Seas has chosen to brew “Червоні очі,” or “Red Eyes,” an American red beer with a light aroma and will donate all profits from the beer to the United Nations Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.

“Our team really wanted to do something to help, even in a small way, the people of Ukraine who are suffering so much. When we saw that Pravda Brewery was offering their recipes, it seemed like a great opportunity to play our part and help us in a way that seemed very natural.” Hugh Sisson, founder of the brewery said.
Starting April 1, Red Eyes will be available as a draft and in the “crowd” at the brewery’s boardroom. A limited release t-shirt will also be on sale.

According to to the UNMoney from the fund will provide food, water, shelter and other assistance to populations vulnerable to Russian aggression.
