Hearthstone’s Mercenaries mode is getting one final major patch, adding new mercenaries, mechanics, and endgame

If you are a regular player of the Mercenary game mode in Hearthstonethen we have good news and bad news: the game will soon receive a major content update, but it will also be the last such update for the mode.

The upcoming 25.4 patch will feature six new mercenaries to collect, add five new factions for a total of seven, and give mercenary cards the ability to have two types in one card. Incidentally, these changes mean that some abilities, gear, and treasure will be updated or reworked to relate to factions and/or work within a new Mythic Boss Rush system.

On the subject of Mythic Boss Rush, which is described as an endgame activity for Mercenaries mode, offering players boss battles with random elements on a weekly basis. Completing this activity will earn you Renown, which can be spent on Mercenary cards to boost them beyond their maximum limits.

As for the end of major updates mentioned above, the developers note that the focus will be mostly on the base game and Battlegrounds mode, but Mercenaries will continue to receive bug fixes and necessary balance adjustments. “We thank everyone who has ever hunted a bounty or gathered around the campfire for making this chapter in Hearthstone history special, and we hope they will enjoy all that Mercenaries has to offer in 25.4 ‘ concludes the announcement.
