“He was never held accountable”

The NFL community was shocked to learn that former San Francisco 49ers tight end Kevin Ware Jr. has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend. On July 28, 2022, a Texas grand jury indicted Ware on murder charges and body tampering.
Taylor Pomaski, 29, was reported missing after a party at the couple’s shared home. On December 10, 2021, Pomaski’s remains were discovered in northern Harris County, Texas. After six months of intensive investigation, the remains found were confirmed to be those of Pomaski.

Kevin Ware faces a life sentence of 15 years if convicted of the crime
Kevin Ware Jr. didn’t have a great career that burned his name into the minds of fans. He had a rather transient stint in the NFL. He played 11 games for the Washington Redskins and 5 games for the 49ers in 2003 before being released in September 2004.
According to Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg’s office, if convicted of the murder of Taylor Pomaski, Ware faces a life sentence of 15 years. Taylor’s mother Leslie Mandeville recently spoke out about the horrific crime the former NFL player committed against her daughter.
“He was never held accountable” Pomaski’s mother told Fox News. She added that Ware should issue “the rest of his life in prison”
This isn’t Ware’s first run-in with the law. He has a history of violence dating back to his student days. In 2002, Ware pleaded guilty to assault while she was a student at the University of Washington. In 2018, the 41-year-old was sentenced to two years in prison, a first-degree offence, for intent to manufacture or supply a controlled substance. Then, in 2021, he was caught with drugs, a loaded AK-47 and a 9mm pistol. Ware left a long list of criminal legacies and it’s time he paid the price for his misdeeds and for taking the life of Taylor Pomaski.
