In a recent blog post, Marc Marquez shared his opinion, claiming that the tennis legend’s ability to triumph even when he’s not at his best makes him unique. During the 2022 Madrid Masters, the Spanish racer spoke to the 22-time Grand Slam winner. “There is also a reference called Rafa Nadal who, even when he was retired, was able to overcome the pain and win again. I met him exactly when they played at the Masters 1000 in Madrid.” Marquez wrote about Rafael Nadal.

“I know everything he’s suffered and that’s why he’s a reference for me because, although he’s not at his best, he’s capable of winning tournaments like Roland Garros. I remember him admitting in a press conference that the pain changed his mood and I understand that.” he added.
