Hawks is on the verge of acquiring Dejounte Murray
Murray has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason and he has had some fun with the speculation on twitter. We wonder how he will react to this latest report?
In 68 games last season, Murray averaged 21.1 points, 9.2 assists and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, all career highs. His 2.0 steals per game was not only the highest of his career but also the best average in the entire league during the 2021-22 season.
Murray is about to enter the third season of his four-year, $64 million deal signed with Spurs.
If a trade is to be made with Murray landing in Atlanta, it would make quite a pair since he was playing alongside Young. Per StatMuse, both Murray and Young are two of three last-season players who averaged over 20.0 points and 9.0 assists per game last season. The only other player to do so was James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Hawks fans will no doubt be updating their social media feeds to see if a Murray trade comes into play.
