Happy birthday, Patrick Mahomes! The Chiefs take home the win

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes turns 28 today! Even though it was his milestone birthday, Mahomes had to take the field when he and the Chiefs squared off Trevor Lawrence and that Jacksonville Jaguars – and it was hard!

The Chiefs struggled in the first half

Last week, All-Star tight end Travis Kelce was sidelined against the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, the team was unable to secure a win without Kelce, as the Lions defeated the Chiefs 21-20.

The Super Bowl MVP was back in the game today, although he didn’t score as many goals as fans had hoped. Mahomes and the Chiefs struggled in the first half, not scoring the game’s first touchdown until the final two minutes of the first half.

The birthday boy was 15 of 21 in the first half with 144 passing yards and a touchdown to Sky Moore and an interception. Hopefully the team can turn things around in the second half because fans are already on Mahomes’ case.

“Patrick Mahomes has had a terrible birthday so far,” one fan said Tweeted than another rang in: “Patrick Mahomes has a tough birthday today 😬😬”.

Another fan Tweeted“Certainly Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t lose a game on his birthday. Can you imagine?”.
