Halo Infinite co-op isn’t actually out today – but it’s coming

The beta version of Halo infinity‘s campaign co-op didn’t actually come out today. The highly anticipated feature is still on the way, but 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard clarified the confusion behind the release date Twitter.
“While we’ve always said our ‘goal is the week of July 11,’ many sites simply reported as ‘starting July 11,'” he wrote. “Hope for this week, but it doesn’t start today.”
He further elaborated on some issues the developers were facing.
Previously, many outlets – including Polygon – reported that the 10-day trial period for Halo infinity‘s Co-op would begin on July 11th. While 343 Industries is hoping to launch the beta this week, there’s a chance it could be delayed. The full launch of campaign co-op is expected later this year. The feature has since been delayed a few times along with a level editor Halo infinity started last December.
Whenever it comes out, the beta will be available to players who have signed up for the Xbox Insider Program. Steam users had until July 5th, but those playing elsewhere can still sign up before the beta starts.
