Guild Wars 2 previews next week’s “Outlier” balance update

Lock up your kids and your spouse because Guild Wars 2 sneaks into town for another class balance showdown – and there’s no telling who will escape unscathed and who will be transformed into an abnormal mutant barely recognized from their former self.

In fact, it doesn’t sound as serious and groundbreaking as some balance patches of the past: “This is a minor update focused on fixing some anomalies in the current state of the game as we wrap up our next major profession balance update. which is currently scheduled for June 27.”

The patch will nerf the Elementalist’s Fresh Air Catalyst, beef up the Engineer’s holosmith builds, tweak various Guardian builds up and down, force Mesmer to reconsider staff and ax builds, boost power-based Reapers, and some of the potential Ranger’s Alacrity to Zap Might tinkered with a few Revenant builds mostly left the Thief alone, overtaking Warrior power builds.
