Josh has become the latest contestant to be eliminated from Great pottery thrown down After another exciting week.

In the latest episode of the Channel 4 competition, potters were tasked with creating inanimate objects, before taking on the bottle furnace challenge to impress judges Keith Brymer and Rich Miller.

However, Josh struggled throughout and was the third to be sent home.

Announcing her exit, presenter Ellie Taylor told hopefuls: ‘The one who will be leaving the pottery this week is Josh. Sorry Josh. ‘

“This is a barbaric, entertaining scam…”, he told the camera after he exited.

‘I feel fine, I knew it was going to happen. Obviously I was disappointed to leave but the judges made the right decision. They certainly did.

‘I’m really proud of myself for coming here and I’ve learned a lot from other potters. All very good, all great. ‘

“The joking wheels fell off the wagon but I had a great time,” he added. ‘It was great. Incredible.’

While it wasn’t a great day for Josh, co-star Nick Robatto took the lead and was named potter of the week for his impressive creations.

‘I buzzed, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t expect it at all,’ he said of the win.

Rich in star-studded praise, Rich added in a VT: ‘Porcelain clay is a difficult material to work with, but Nick has managed to bring out the best in it.

‘He just has exquisite measures of detail and the way he used that glaze really elevates all of those surfaces.

“It’s the eye-catching frame work that Keith and I were looking for.”

Not too bad.

Things are expected to get more complicated for potters next week, when they are asked to switch to Japanese tea sets.

Ellie teases that ‘the temperature will go up’ in the second challenge, which is ‘hard to pass’.

Bring it in.

Great Peak Throwing Pottery continues at 19:45 every Sunday on channel 4.
