The Goosebumps series on Disney+ has added both Zack Morris and Isa Briones to its cast as series regulars. diversity only learned.
The duo join previously announced cast members Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna and Will Price, and Justin Long.
According to the official logline, “The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces on their town and who must all work together – thanks to and despite their friendships, rivalries and pasts – to save it. Along the way, they learn a lot about their own parents’ teenage secrets.” According to Disney Branded Television, the series is influenced by five of the most popular Goosebumps books.
Morris will star as Isaiah, described as “a popular star footballer whose financial struggles at home have him and his family relying on his athleticism to secure him a full trip to college.”
Briones will play Jane, who “usually gets her head stuck in a book, leading her classmates to think she’s a snob, but all she’s focused on is her writing and creating a life interesting enough for a memoir.” is.”
Morris is best known for his role on the long-running BBC series EastEnders, appearing in over 400 episodes during his stint on the show. His other onscreen credits include shows like The Fades, One Night, and Children in Need.

Briones is best known for starring in the first two seasons of “Star Trek: Picard” on Paramount+. She also appeared in the second season of FX’s American Crime Story, The Assassination of Gianni Versace. She was also a member of the First National Touring Company of Hamilton and Next to Normal.

Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman serve as co-creators and executive producers of the “Goosebumps” show, with Stoller serving as executive producer through Stoller Global Solutions. Kevin Murphy serves as executive producer and showrunner. Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty, Stoller Global Solutions’ Conor Welch, Erin O’Malley, and Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman also serve as executive producers. Julia Ruchman, James Eagan and Nick Adams will serve as co-executive producers and writers. Sony Pictures Television Studios will produce. Original Film and Stoller Global Solutions currently have overall TV agreements with Sony.
Moritz was a producer on the two most recent “Goosebumps” feature films, released in 2015 and 2018. Letterman directed the first film. Together, the two films grossed over $250 million.
The Disney+ show is now the second Goosebumps live-action series to air. The first version aired between 1996 and 1998 for four seasons and 74 episodes. This show was an episodic anthology, with each episode based on a different Goosebumps book.
