Police have released new details into the horror two-vehicle accident that killed two people east of Dubbo on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services have been called to Goolma Road near Gorries Lane, Goolma, some 77km east of Dubbo, after a two-vehicle crash was reported around 4pm on Friday.
A NSW Police spokesman said the accident happened between a Ford Falcon Ute traveling west and a Toyota LandCruiser Prado traveling east.

The accident probably happened on the west lane.
A 29-year-old man who was the driver of the Ford and a 63-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Prado both died at the scene.
Another man, woman and three children were removed from the Prado with the support of Fire and Rescue NSW and the VRA.
They were treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway to determine how the tragedy unfolded.
