Cheema had picked up the couple from Surfers Paradise earlier that night, the court heard.
The men were drunk and Cheema asked them ten times where they wanted to go but they didn’t answer.
He kicked them out before one of them allegedly punched him twice in the face.
The men fled, but when Cheema met them again as they stood on a road, he drove towards them.
One of the men was hit by his hood, but the car only grazed his thigh.
Cheema then drove back to the men before driving away while shouting insults.
“Run, you bastard,” he yells.
The men have not been charged in the alleged assault.
But Cheema, 37, was charged and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving charges.
His lawyer argued he was provoked and that his actions were out of character.
The judge sentenced him to 18 months in prison, which was fully suspended for two years.
A conviction was recorded that invalidates his visa, which means he will be deported.
