Gold Coast highway accident eight injured, four Mercedes occupants escape

Four people are on the run after eight people – three of them seriously – were injured in a crash on the Gold Coast.

The four were in a black AMG Mercedes-Benz that crashed into the back of a Mitsubishi Outlander station wagon near Kratzmann Avenue on Miami’s Gold Coast Highway around 1 a.m. Sunday.

“It is alleged that this vehicle (the Mercedes) was speeding prior to impact,” Acting Chief Superintendent Chris Stream said Sunday.

Paramedics said the victims were men and women between the ages of 20 and 30 and were treating them for head, neck, back, leg and chest injuries.

“It was a miracle no one was fatally injured,” Stream said.

appeal of the police

The Mercedes occupants were not caught.
