Gold Coast highway accident eight injured, four Mercedes occupants escape

Four people are on the run after eight people – three of them seriously – were injured in a crash on the Gold Coast.
The four were in a black AMG Mercedes-Benz that crashed into the back of a Mitsubishi Outlander station wagon near Kratzmann Avenue on Miami’s Gold Coast Highway around 1 a.m. Sunday.
“It is alleged that this vehicle (the Mercedes) was speeding prior to impact,” Acting Chief Superintendent Chris Stream said Sunday.

The impact pushed the Outlander into the rear of a Mitsubishi ASX car, which then struck two other vehicles.
The Mercedes driver and three passengers ran away.
17 people were hit by the accident and examined by paramedics.
Eight were hospitalized, with three people in the Outlander suffering the most serious injuries and being taken to hospital in stable condition.
Paramedics said the victims were men and women between the ages of 20 and 30 and were treating them for head, neck, back, leg and chest injuries.
“It was a miracle no one was fatally injured,” Stream said.
appeal of the police
The Mercedes occupants were not caught.
The police ask them to come forward and also ask for information or dashcam or CCTV recordings.
Forensic investigators investigate.
