GM confirms ‘flash’ between Tom Brady and Bruce Arians

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht has spoken out about the reported frictions between quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bruce Arians.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just had to go through just over a month of life without full-back Tom Brady. His retirement was short-lived, as he announced his decision to return to the team in 2022 in what has become a very viable NFC. However, there are questions about Brady’s relationship with head coach Bruce Arians, where there have been reports of friction between the two.

When speaking to the media on Monday, Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht was asked by ESPN’s Jenna Laine about the reported friction between Brady and the Arians. Licht says there will always be some form of friction with any team.

When Brady announced that he would be retiring shortly and that he would return for the 2022 season, Arians responded to the news with “the whole excitement.“Ultimately, the road to Super Bowl 57 for the Buccaneers won’t be as exhausting as in the AFC.

Not only Brady is back, but Chris Godwin and full-back Carlton Davis also receive many new contracts. The Buccaneers also brought in Brady’s former offensive guard from the New England Patriots in Shaq Mason in a trade.

Brady was still playing at a high level before announcing his departure from the NFL. He’s led the entire NFL in finishes (485), yards (5,316), yards per game (312.7) and ground hits (43). Those stats helped Brady finish second in the NFL’s MVP poll.

The goal, as always has been since Brady joined Tampa Bay, is to win the Lombardi Cup. That’s what Licht, Brady and Arians are looking to do as they head into the 2022 season. GM confirms ‘flash’ between Tom Brady and Bruce Arians
