Gloria Victis’ extensive roadmap includes a total rethink of guild castles

Black Eye Games has published an extensive roadmap for Gloria Victis This week, we’re capping the first four months since launch, in which it’s received a “overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam. It actually is more than a roadmapas it also includes some of the larger finished content such as destructible shelters and the ongoing Season of the Wolves.

The developers say they’re working on guild perks and islands, mini-boss hots, ongoing graphics upgrades, a major overhaul of the economy, and other building and PvP tweaks as we move forward. Guild castles sound pretty cute.

“When we think of the Middle Ages, we picture plate armor, axes, bows, horses and castles. Many players would like to build their own castle and then develop and defend that castle.

“We used to have a system called Free Build at 9 guild castle locations on the open world map. Unfortunately, this system did not work the way it was supposed to. Most guilds and players had very limited access to the guild castles, only a few guilds could own their own guild castles and because of this, few players had access to the free building, but we would like more people to have access to this feature. Additionally, some guilds owned the same castles for many years, causing the map to stagnate and robbing other guilds and nations of any chance of castle ownership and growth.”

The new system will “reverse and expand on that,” according to the studio.

Note that on June 15th a new glorious season will begin for the game.
