In a country that generates 1.1 million tons of plastic waste per year since 2007, the Accra-based company has turned over 40 million plastic bags (small bags filled with drinking water) into products such as laptop sleeves, pencil cases and grocery bags.

“We create jobs and we care about our environment,” said Bright Biney, Country Manager of Trashy Bags. “If it’s good for the planet, it’s good for business.”
