Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia: Fight Card, Odds, PPV Price, Tape History, Record, Date, Full Guide

The time to talk is almost up. Two of boxing’s biggest stars will finally step into the ring and prostrate in Las Vegas on Saturday night when Gervonta “Tank” Davis takes on “King” Ryan Garcia. The two up-and-coming lightweights clash in the T-Mobile Arena Main Event on Showtime PPV with so much at stake.

Both fighters have traded barbs back and forth over the past few years in anticipation of making this fight a reality. And both men went out of their way to make it happen while sitting on opposite sides of boxing’s political landscape. Now only one can end the night with his hand raised in victory.

Davis is known as one of the sport’s finest knockout artists. He has defeated 26 of the 28 opponents who have stepped in the ring with him, including a trio of critically acclaimed knockouts since 2020. He brutally ended Leo Santa Cruz in 2020 with one hell of an uppercut. He beat Mario Barrios with four knockdowns before the referee waved off the 2021 fight. And Davis obliterated Rolando Romero in 2022 with a left hook.

“All he talks about is that one punch. I only need one too. I touch that jaw and I tell you, you will sleep. I’ll probably break your jaw,” Davis said at the closing press conference. “We are here. Enough talking. I’m ready to get down and dirty. I’m from Baltimore City and you’ll see us shoot it next Saturday. Until then.

“He will make me feel safe. I am what I say I am. i am that guy I didn’t come all this way here for nothing I’ll see for sure Saturday night.”

Garcia, on the other hand, brings more balance to his attack. His speed is his greatest weapon, but he can also knock out an enemy’s lights with lightning speed. Garcia has finished off 19 of the 23 opponents he faced, including Javier Fortuna on his last outing and Luke Campbell in 2021.

“Everything catches up to you. Everything comes to a standstill for you on Saturday night. You’re going to learn the hard way,” Garcia said. “What an honor to be here. This is a dream come true. I see my face on the big screens of MGM and it’s been a dream of mine since I was a little boy. I am very happy and excited. I really don’t have much to say, I’m just staying focused and preparing. I know there is a big task ahead of us, but I will emerge victorious.”

The undercard in Las Vegas is packed with interesting matchups before we get to the main event. Secondary WBA Super Middleweight Champion David Morrell is back in action when he faces late substitute Yamaguchi Falcao in the co-main event. Morrell is hoping to earn his shot at Canelo Alvarez and the undisputed 168lb crown if he keeps winning.
