Gentle Saturday, Snowy Sunday – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A wonderful and very warm Friday, after a week of higher than usual temperatures! Another very gentle day will come tomorrow, as we will again reach the upper 50 to the low 60.
Late Saturday, a cold front will move across the area accompanied by a few showers, after which a gradual cooldown will begin. Late Saturday night or early Sunday morning we’ll likely see a transition from any rain to a wet snow phase that could last three to five hours.

Due to very warm ground temperatures over the weekend, it will be difficult to see a lot of snow accumulation, especially on roads.
Around the Baltimore area, we expect about an inch of snow, but possibly one to three inches south and east of the metro area at most. Expect to be less than an inch north and west of the city.

Once again, we’re seeing a repeat of this same pattern we’ve seen throughout the winter! Cooler but drier air will move into the area Sunday afternoon, along with some sunshine.
If we have snow accumulation on the streets or sidewalks, it is imperative to clear these surfaces as we will drop below freezing on Sunday night and Monday morning.
Enjoy the weekend and a cold start to the week ahead, before another nice warm-up hits midweek!
