Genshin Impact teases the upcoming Sumeru region in a new promo video

After what seems like an eternity to Genshin Impact fans, we finally got to see the new teaser trailer for the 3.0 update for the game set in Sumeru. Recreated in full anime glory, we got a glimpse of Sumeru for almost a full minute, along with some of the characters that are sure to be involved in the storyline. The quality of animation and art just begs the question of when will HoYoVerse bite the bullet and release an actual anime that fans have been begging for since the game’s release.

In the trailer, dubbed the HoYoVerse Sumeru Promotional Video by the YouTube channel, we got a glimpse of Sumeru’s contrasting and awe-inspiring landscapes of forests and deserts, as well as one of the region’s most important cities, Sumeru City. Character-wise, the trailer is narrated by Nahida (voiced by the talented Kimberley Anne Campbell), who speaks of the cyclical nature of life and existence and hints at what might lie ahead for players when they reach Sumeru story-wise and conflicts.

In addition to Nahida’s brief appearance and narration, the trailer features several characters, some engaged in combat while others simply enjoyed strolling through the new landscape of Sumeru and its environs. Characters we were able to glean from the Sumeru promotional video include Tighnari, Collei, Alhaitham, Traveler-Aether, Paimon, Dori, Cyno, Dehya, and Nilou.

This promo teaser is sure to keep fans guessing and speculating even more about what will happen when fall arrives and Sumeru becomes available for exploration. The highly anticipated Genshin Impact fourth region is just around the corner, and with each new tease of HoYoVerse, the anticipation is building to a crescendo.
