Genshin Impact is planning an eSports invitational tournament based around the Genius Invocation TCG

Genshin Impact and esports aren’t exactly a pairing to be looked at from the outside, especially since the title’s primary gameplay loop is about solo or multiplayer PvE. However, the Genius Invocation TCG that was added last December probably drew a lot of player competition and attention, which is the best explanation for why HoYoverse is hosting an invitational esports tournament for the TCG.

Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup aims to bring together players from multiple nations and regions for six regional tournaments between June and September and three nationwide invitational tournaments in June, August and December, all for a combined prize pool of $270,000. These tournaments will be compiled through existing channels on the official Discord, while quarterfinals and exhibition matches featuring top community contenders will go head-to-head live in an official broadcast on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.

For those interested in how this is all supposed to work, the official website of the esports event contains additional informationwhile those interested in tossing their hat in the ring may wish to do so Read through the rules.
