“Garam Garam Chairs” fans in Mumbai complain to BCCI » FirstSportz

The Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, started their IPL 2022 campaign on Sunday afternoon against the Delhi Capitals. At 3.30pm the game started at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

But even before the game started, the fans in the stadium expressed their dissatisfaction with the equipment. On Twitter, a fan blamed it BCCI for providing simple plastic chairs in the sweltering heat of Mumbai – and that for tickets from 3000 and more.

The user tweeted a photo of the chairs lined up at the Brabourne to let everyone else, as well as the BCCI, know the slag seating arrangement intended for fans. The plastic chairs make it extremely difficult for fans to sit and watch and enjoy the game during the game.

The tournament will be held at four different venues: Wankhede and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, as well as DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Some franchises had previously protested against it Mumbai Indians have home games in their city. The BCCI, on the other hand, stated that it wanted to avoid air travel – which the board believes was the cause of last year’s transmission of Covid-19 between the franchises that brought the tournament to a halt – and so chose Mumbai and Pune as the League Venues.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was also asked for his opinion on his team’s home games. Sharma pointed out that they haven’t played in Mumbai for the past two seasons and that the majority of their players are from other cities.
