Galactic Getaway offers a video overview of gameplay, multiplayer scope and monetization model

Last month we turned our gaze towards Galactic getaway, a cozy looking multiplayer game that relies on players enjoying minigames together or creating their own perfect space resort for friends. If this little preview made you curious to learn more, the team at Akrew did a little summary video just for you.

In the video, the self-described “Cosy Life Sim Party Game” offers a look at some of its features in action. Players start out on their own planet with their own house, which they can decorate however they like, while gaining more decorations by earning mini-game rewards and using them to purchase from a “huge” catalog of items. Ultimately, players will be able to upgrade their planet to a deluxe version, allowing for the creation of a holiday town that can be further customized.

On the multiplayer front, the video gives us a glimpse of the planned scope: up to 60 players can be on a planet at a time to build and decorate as they please, while mini-games can support up to 12 players at once. Finally, the game will be free-to-play and promises a purely cosmetic cash shop.

A release date has yet to be set, but players can wishlist the title on Steam and get a glimpse of what to expect in the video below.
